Take Time to Smell the Flowers...

I love this picture of my SWEET Madelin smelling our newly planted Purple Mums!! Today, I had to decide from the moment my feet hit the ground, that I would focus on my BLESSINGS, smell the "flowers" in my day, and not get out of sorts about the Oh, so many things that went wrong today...Like me not getting enough sleep last night because of my NYC excursion::instead, being thankful for quality time with life long friends! Smelling my Flowers. Or like the hanging mirror on my bedroom door shattering to tiny pieces because my littlest one slammed the door::instead, being thankful that 1) no one was on the side of the closed door where the mirror broke, so no injuries, and 2) I now have one less glass surface to clean. Smelling my Flowers! And so on....you know, when you purposefully look for your BLESSINGS, the cool thing is that they seem to SHOW UP EVERYWHERE!!!

A Few of my Counted Blessings today - 2 Daughters I get to stay home with! And 2 Sisters that LOVE playing with each other! Dress-up, Princess fun, or Dance Recital...the two of them LOVE to get all dolled up and prance around our house!!!

More of my Counted Blessings Today - 1 New Friend, Isabella! 1 Old Friend, Danielle! 4 Imaginations that used my "I waited too long to cut the grass, and was way too tired to bag the clumps" of dead grass as beds and houses for the play birds, squirrels, and other pretend forest animals they were making homes for! And 1 Safe and Clean yard for my family to enjoy!

These are just a FEW of the MANY BLESSINGS God surrounds me with EVERYDAY!! I am so thankful for His many gifts! I must say that it is so much better to Count your Blessings! So, what Flowers did you come across today? I would love to hear how God is blessing you!

In the blood curling scream that Lily has, I find joy in knowing she is preparing her vocals for American Idol!!

In the bathroom that can't seem to remain pee-free, I find happiness in two healthy and thriving boys...

and most importantly, in the dark clouds that loom above, I find time to remember the hours before Jesus' death... A time to reflect on ALL He endured for me on the cross.....

Isn't dressing up fun! All the frilly, shiny things we put on our already perfect bodies. The girls look so happy.
