"Authentic Living"

I stumbled across this "new" for me Blog today as I was looking at Joy's Blog. I only spent about 10 minutes looking at this new blog, entitled The Inspired Room, but I really connected with what the blog author wrote about Authentic Living. Here are some snippets I read under the About section that discuss her journey towards and experience with seeking to live Authentically:

"What I have learned for myself is that the goal is not always to make everything perfect around me, but to LIVE fully, to the best of my ability, wherever I am. It is being content to balance my life with what God gives me!"

"It (authentic living) is living on purpose and with purpose according to what I have been given."

"Authenticity is a series of personal decisions I make every day."

What she wrote really resonated with me and what I am seeking in my life. I have come a long way with this and am still growing in this area. I tend to like things to be Perfect and orderly...Growing up I must have driven my parents crazy =) I would worry over every little thing until it was just how I wanted it to be! This way of things can get so exhausting.

I am thankful for the growth that I have had with this. While I still can easily get frustrated if things aren't just so with our life, I do sincerely seek to be thankful for what God has given me and live in it to the best of my ability. I am seeking to Be Present in this wonderful life that God has given me and give it my best. Living every day purposefully, putting my time and energy into what is truly important to me and my God....and now with 2 Beautiful girls running around my house, let's just say the dusting and such have moved far down the list.

Melissa,

What a lovely post. You so eloquently wrote a great expression of how hard the balance can be! I do enjoy her blog and her perspective. I find others through her every now and then.
You are a gifted writer and I truly love reading your thoughts too!
