Happy Mother's Day

Sitting here looking at this picture, I feel so blessed and happy. I see my Mom and my daughter. I am so thankful that I have both of them in my life and that the three of us are able to be so close. Today, I celebrated my Mom and showed her how much I loved her. My Mom is so full of love for her family and truly has a giving heart. Even though I am older now, I am still learning from my Mom's example and I know that Michaela will learn so many wonderful things from her too.

Thinking of what to get my Mom for Mother's Day is always difficult. Of course, I can always find plenty of things to buy that she will like, but those things don't at all compare to how much love and thankfulness I have for her. While I did give my Mom a present today that I know she likes, the best gift that I can give her to honor her love for me is to continue to always try to be the best person (daughter, wife, Mommy, and friend) that I can be; to take what she taught and showed me and live it out.

Mom, you are the best and I love you.
